1. Governtment officers of importance of the present and future, Chaudhuris and
   Kanungos of

2. Sylhet Sarkar be informed, that Nasiruddin Chaudhury of Paraganah Kanihati
3. is an agent of the Government and loyal to the throne, and in the battle of Usman, the
   rebel,
4. tried his best, exerted himself to the best of his abilities, and readily rendered all
   possible help and asistance to the Government. Consequently,
5. in considerations of his loyalty, the Government is pleased to grant him as his
   subsistence allwance, a plot of land (waste) measuring 30 Kulbas (Sylhet hals) rent free
   from villages Mahtabpur
6. and Paboi, belonging to the said Pargannah with effect from the beginning of the next
   harvest season.
7. It is ordered that the land noted above should be given away in his possession
8. and none should present any obstacle to this connection, and it should be treated as
   urgent,

1. Copy of the document of the shariah courts dated 22nd of the month of Ramadan, the
   blessed, year 1070. Government officers of
2. importance of the present and the future, and Choudhuries and Qanungoes, of
   Parganah Kanihati, Sarkar Sylhet
3. should be informed that the nephew of Haji Muhammad, Nasiruddin Choudhury, of the
   aforementioned parganah, has been an agent of,
4. and has always been loyal to the Government. Therefore, the plot of
5. wasteland measuring two acre** rent free for agriculture from village Mahtabpur and
   Tumki** and others
6. Belonging to aforementioned Parganah, from the beginning of the next harvest season,
7. is granted to him as his subsistence allowance. The aforementioned plot should be left
8. in posession to him to cultivate crops and produce in return for services of
9. standing and initiative. All should know this matter to be treated as urgent from
10. this date.

1. Government officers of importance of the present and the future, and Choudhuries and
   Qanungoes, of Parganah Kanihati, Sarkar Sylhet, be informed
2. That in view of his sincere loyalty and ownership of Haji Muhammad Choudhury of the
   aforementioned pargana,
3. He is threrefore, due to his loyalty, granted a plot of ten (acre*) of wasteland
4. from a result of recovered land for madad-i-ma’ash-i-shaikh to him from the beginning
   of the harvest
5. 1070 sana bangala. It is decreed as a gift of personal subsistence to him the
   aforementioned lands
6. from mouza Chak Hajipur and others into his posession such that he should enjoy the
   revenue in return for his services to the emperor to arise and present. In this matter,
7. knowing urgency to be necessary, do not delay. Written on the date of

Government officers of the present and future, Choudhurys and Qanungos of Parganah
Kanihati, Government of Sylhet, be informed, that according to the Royal sanads 30 Kawan
Kouris have been granted as subsistence allowance to Haji Muhammad Choudhury, and
now having his sincere loyalty and Revenue agency in view, the Government is pleased to
grant him 30 Kawan kouri and the Bazar Ranchap, with effect from the harvest season of
1093 Parganati, in addition to the former grant, all amounting to 60 Kawan Kouri with Bazar
Ranchap under your possession, and you should be always ready to render serices to the
Government with heart and soul. It should be treated as urgent and you should act
accordingly as herewith, 1093 Parganati
